DentalDisease prevention is a major component of our dental care. Periodontal disease is by far the most common disease of the mouth in our veterinary patients. Foul breath is the hallmark clinical sign for this disease. Once it is present, periodontal disease is progressive. The removal of tartar and plaque both visible and below the gum line is essential in the prevention of this disease.Dental x-rays

While your pet is under anesthesia, our veterinarians examine every tooth individually and decide on diagnosis and proper therapy. Digital dental radiographs are utilized when needed. Tartar and plaque are removed, and then detailed polishing and sealant application complete the procedure similar to what is done in human dentistry.

Constant patient monitoring and supportive therapy are utilized to ensure comfort and safety for your pet. If tooth extractions or periodontal procedures are performed, then pain management is essential and tailored to your pet’s needs.
